something quirky and british: [13 Sep 2003|10:30am] [ music | the sound of a deadline rushing closer ] these are a few captures taken last night while i was 'surfing' the uhf network, now i know most peeps in the uk are thinking why is he posting that up? but i don't think they have this in the usa.. and it's the fact i installed a 'win-tv go' last evening, much pains cause due to the fact both my motherboard and video card were incompatable.. *grumble* but i sorted it out with some bios patchs/updates etc. anyways, this takes me back to the prestel and compuserve nets from way back when when i was just a ickle net monkey and a 2,600 was state of the art in modem tech. i have been online for 20yrs... augh! *weeps quietly to self* the fact that all i had to do was bung a crappy indoor teevee arial into the card and install 'VTplus' drivers (i did buy the card so i can connect my analogue video camera to the pc) and i was able to download/surf these pages, rather spiffy i think. who ever said retro wasn't interesting. :D 6 comments|post comment

built a gameboy-color from 486/50mhz board [29 Aug 2003|10:31am] running gb-c and j-rom's in full screen mode *shock* !super super happy bouncey friendly hamster pet!!!' (i think?) most of this was built from bits scavenged from skips or what i had laying about the place. i'd finished building the PIIIMMX(tower of power(tm)) and sat looking at all these obsolete parts, i just wondered if i could make my own GB-C from them. 4 hours later it was running in full screen and at almost 100% frame rate. do you think nintendo would want to purchase the rights to it? -haha- post comment
